I remember when apps were the new thing - there was a commercial that used the byline "There's an app fo that" and that saying became a meme before memes were memes LOL. Your article highlights for me how transformative the use of apps became - they made cell phones fun and easy and colorful - we went from boring Blackberries (aka "crackberries" because some found them so addictive) to iphones and their multicolored apps. I remember being amazed.
