I have a very old parent, and I am not young (anymore - LOL) - I have grappled with this for years and for me, disengagement and an expanse of emotional distance works well - to cut her off at 90 would not be good for ME. I go on autopilot when we "talk" (no visits for now). Notice quotes around talk - it's not a convo. I think first of what is best for my psyche. It may or may not be total cutoff, for your own sake.
