I can relate to this experience about the frustration with trying to get a sustained readership. And it's intresting that your viral story earned you some money but not as much as I would expect or that you deserve. I've lowered my expectations here and now I see Medium as a way to blog and keep my stories/articles in one place, for me, my readership (small as that group is) and for posterity.
